Trusses

Engineered Trusses and/or approved wood trusses feature kiln-dried top and bottom chords for maximum Strength

Cathedral ceilings have a custom designed flat 455mm truss allows  300mm of insulation, and  is engineered with air circulation/ventilation  behind the insulation for maximum ventilation.

Plywood

EEH homes use only plywood sheathing on the roof, exterior walls and sub-floor, the mark of a true quality home.

This helps give all EEH

homes a seismic zone 2 rating.

13mm wall & ceiling and 15.8mm T&G sub-floor

Treated Plywood is also available.

Roofing

25 or 30 year asphalt shingles with heavy grit coloured surface will keep the roof in top condition for many years. Other surfaces optional.

Customer choice to resort to other roofing options such as colour steel or tile. (Tile must be considered in advance due to the weight loading).

Skylights

SuperWindow Perfectly engineered PVC skylights are thermally sealed safety glass, and can fill your home with natural light.

In addition, selectively place Skylights can add to solar absorption.

Skylights can be ordered with electrical openers, with rain guard, and remote control.

Floor Structure

 Floors are all sub-floor designed with full floor joists, beams, sills, and cross bridging. All timber is Kiln dried, ensuring the floors will always remain level.

 The 18.8mm tongue and groove plywood sub-floor is glued and screwed to prevent annoying noises.

Trim & Doors

 Optional Colonial interior trim and doors, include specially patterned, embossed doors.

 Colonial Trim is available in Paint Grade, or stain grade for the finishing touch.

Exterior Doors

 All exterior doors are insulated core, steel clad doors, with rebound compression weather stripping with raised thermal break, providing both comfort, and security.

Interior options

SuperWindows

 All SuperWindows are double glazed with Low E coatings and argon gas hermetically sealed. This includes exterior sliding glass doors if so equipped. These are the ultimate windows in energy efficiency.

Insulation
Quality Fiberglass batt insulation for the complete ceiling area, and for all living area exterior walls, provide maximum energy efficiency.

140mm R-3.6 (NZ) in Exterior Walls. & 300mm in ceilings R-7 (NZ)

A 6 mil polyethylene vapour barrier ensures that your home has a durable and effective moisture barrier. in colder areas

Powerful Wall Construction 

The exterior wall studs are 6x2 Kiln dried Spruce, EU certified, 16” (406.4mm) Center providing, along with the plywood sheathing, 315% more strength than  conventional framing.

The exterior wall sheathing is solid 13mm plywood, and is supplied with world renowned “Tyvek” exterior wrap.

Custom Window Projections

EEH includes a special designed detail for custom window projections that add light and space to your kitchen and or dining rooms. 

Combining casement windows and skylights in a framed wall projection, these options are a wonder full way to let the sunshine stream in.

Deluxe Ext. Trim

A wide range of feature trims including shutters, window grills, cupolas, and louvered vents give your home a distinctive appearance.

 EEH’s exteriors feature the natural look of rough-sawn, select grade Cedar siding, pre finished Flood-coat cedar, or attractive vinyl siding, which can be enhanced and accented with stone, brick or stucco.

Siding

You can outfit your home with the siding of your choice. We do recommend certain options.

We offer HardiPlank siding, as well as H or V Cedar, and even a new option: Half round logs for that log home look.

Alternatively you can outfit your homes with brick, stone or rock 

Kitchens

EEH will adding a fantastic range of gorgeous kitchen options over the coming year.

Appliances

EEH can build appliances into your finished product, however we do not built them in as a "Hidden" cost. 

Simply let us know what you want and we can provide them as part of the new home budget, at a competitive cost.

Solar & Heating

EEH is developing preferred lists of Solar, Airtight log, and Heat Pump vendors.

We highly recommend solar hot water heating, when used with evacuated tube collectors, Inverter Heat Pumps,
