The DSHH system warms the ground floor of a home through the heating of it's concrete floor slab and in summer when there is excess heat, the heat is stored beneath the slab which is  is physically designed into the foundation of a new home or facility. 

It is designed as Background Heat in the serviced part of the home/office, and helps prevent the living areas from dropping below +18c, once the system storage has reached its optimal holding temp.

Even though this is a background heat, the temperature is still set by the owner. It is not designed as a "Demand" heating system as it uses a huge thermal mass system, which takes time to reach it's set point temperature.

We now offer three new options: Integrated hot water, where hot water gets priority, wetback integration which is currently a free add on, and a hot water heat pump system that heats the hot water extremely fast and with high economy, but also is used as backup heat in the event of more home heat being required.

NEW: The DSHH qualifies for, and EEH plans to introduce a Carbon Tax credit scheme, whereby carbon credits can result in a small cash reimbursement on an ongoing basis, once the carbon tax credit system is established..

 Is an Active Solar Heating System

• Captures free year round solar heat, even in winter, then intelligently stores & distributes it as required. It also allows for alternate thermal input from log fireplace wetback boilers , geothermal sources or generators (ask).

The DSHH system uses a huge solar collection system and massive thermal mass heat containment system. Collectors and containment van be adjusted for most environments that have reasonable solar Insolation.

The heat containment storage area is encased under the slab, by an insulated ICF system (like an upside down glass in water). The depth of this system varies with the location and expected winters.

The Solar panels are also resized to add more solar gain in colder area.

The solar panels generate heat even on cold -10c days when the sun is out.

Temperatures below -10c will increase the demand on the system, but still offset much of the homes heating requirements over a given winter

Fireplace Wetback/Boiler heater or other similar heat source can be directly integrated to provide ancillary heat or heat extraction

The system works best in a thermally efficient home and is not currently designed to be retrofitted to an existing home. Assessments of thermal parameters are available as well as consulting to ascertain the thermal properties of any given design. Pricing on request.

The storage system can possibly take several years to fully "Charge up"

Warmed areas are directly related to the warmed slab

Water: if moving water is found during footing excavation, the entire cavity must be removed, sealed as per DSHH instructions, lightly insulated, then refilled with compaction.
